Occupied by a low-income hostel, this site originally consisted of two shop and dwellings with utilities housed behind. Restoring the original structure required some demolition and complete refurbishment of the original buildings. A double storey addition to the rear of the site, allows for the addition of a further two dwellings while employing an interplay of heavy and light materials to distinguish between the existing and new construction.
